Dodge Challenger – Deep Purple Edition
Some transformations test your creativity, patience, and experience all at once and this was one of them.
The project began with a call from one of our loyal clients, asking if we could help his father-in-law breathe new life into his Dodge Challenger. The car came to us in bright lime green, and the request was clear (and bold): turn it into a deep, dark purple. The owner, an absolute gentleman, knew this was no easy feat, but he had full faith in us.
Now, anyone in this industry knows: going from such a vibrant colour to something dark and rich isn’t just a wrap it’s a full-scale transformation. And on a Challenger? That’s a real challenge.
We began with a full disassembly everything from bumpers and fenders to handles and lights had to come off. This car’s bumpers are notoriously bulky, with complex edges that cause colour PPF to bunch or compress under stretch if you’re not careful. But knowing this, we engineered a custom installation method, a genius little workaround that allowed us to control the compression zones and keep the film laying smooth and consistent across even the most difficult edges.
To complete the transformation, we went the extra mile and wrapped all door jambs, ensuring not even a sliver of lime green remained. The end result? A deep, mirror-like gloss purple finish that looks factory, but better.
