What is Colour PPF?

Colour PPF is a next-generation film that combines the protection of traditional clear paint protection film with the bold aesthetics of a colour wrap. Unlike standard PPF, which is transparent, colour PPF adds a vibrant finish while shielding your vehicle’s paint from rock chips, scratches, and UV damage.

Colour PPF vs. Vinyl Wrap

While both products can change the look of your vehicle, they serve different purposes. Vinyl is primarily for aesthetics and branding. Colour PPF, on the other hand, offers real protection. It’s thicker, self-healing, and hydrophobic.

At Concept Wraps, we’ve tested over 10 colour PPF brands to find the ideal balance of performance and finish. Our in-house evaluation included stretchability, colour depth, self-healing properties, hydrophobic performance, resistance to impact and scratches, adhesive strength, and heat resistance. We know exactly what to look for—and what to avoid.

Our install process follows strict prep and application standards:

Unlike vinyl, colour PPF requires more careful handling and tension control. We disassemble vehicle components as necessary, never more than what’s needed to ensure a clean, durable finish.
